CASTING CALL
If you have the time, the interest, the passion and the commitment we are opening a casting call for the following positions.
AGROCORP (Civillian):
AGROCORP CEO: Incharge of the Agricultural Research Corporation of Virgon.
AGROCORP Director of Research / Freighter Captain: Responsible for research into genetics, agriculture, and a secret plot element. Also Captains the Freighter.
AGROCORP Director of Security: Incharge of the Paramilitary Security Force (PSF) on the Freighter and assists Mercury with close quarters combat besides providing security on all Colonial vessels.
Aviation Medical Examiner: Incharge of the medical well being of all Freighter crew.
Bartender: AGROCORP's Bartender and assistant director of security.
CATHARSIS (All)
Catharsis is a terrorist element in the re-launch. Players can be in another civillian role or a military role and ALSO be a member of Catharsis.
Catharsis is a group dedicated to ridding the Colonies of thoughts against the Doctrine, and they have spent the past twelve years causing terror at various Civillian and Military installations.
Cell Leader: The Catharsis cell leader who plans out various attacks, hijackings, thefts, etc.
CDF (Military):
Mercury CO: Responsible for Command of the Mercury and her support ships.
Mercury XO: Mercury's second in command. In charge of duty schedules and department heads.
Commander; Air Group: In charge of all of Mercury's pilots.
Patrolstar CO: Commanding Officer of the Patrolstar and the CO of the 7th Tactical Air Command -- Our small stealth squadron. The 5 member squadron flies an experimental stealth recon bird.
Patrolstar XO: Second in command of the Patrolstar.
Senior Watch Officer -- Mercury: In charge of Mercury's CIC.
Senior Watch Officer -- Patrolstar; In charge of the Patrolstar's CIC.
Communications Officer -- Mercury; Handles all communication between Mercury and the fleet.
58th Squardon Commander -- CO of the Squardon which flies the Viper MK VIII "Cobra".
110th Squadron Commander -- CO of te Squadron which flies the Raptor Mk II "Nighthawk".
Chief Engineer: Responsible for the engineering crew and maintenance of both Mercury and the Patrolstar.
Assistant Chief Engineer: Responsible for overseeing the Patrolstar and Freighter engineering staff (This is actually a civillian role)
Chief Medical Officer: Oversees all medical crew on Mercury, the PS and Freighter.
Flight Surgeon, 7th TAC: Responsible for the health and well being of the 7th TAC's crew.

ALL SIM MEETING NEW STORYLINE Friday 17 December 2010 15:00 SLTALL SIM MEETING Due to the stalled roleplaying and some changes in the sim structure we have decided that it is best that the current storyline be restarted. Now that does not mean that some of the awesome storylines you have seen of late will not occur again, they will. You are even encouraged to re-start your current personal roleplaying scenarios, but maybe a tad different. In order to give everyone a chance to give comments and ask questions, we will be hosting an all sim meeting at 15:00 SLT on Friday 17 December. Everyone interested is encouraged to come. On the agenda will be: Below is the background to BSG 21 3.0. The TWELVE COLONIES(R) has undergone a transformation in the past twenty years. Our government, caught between scandal and terrorist attacks is in shambles. Our people are dealing with an economy on the brink of collapse. It has been sixty years since the last of the skirmishes against the CYLONS(R). Last year we retired the last ship from that war, the GALACTICA(R), and used her remains for spareparts. Our military machine grows as numerous battlestars and patrolstars are sent between the worlds to catch smugglers, terrorists and corrupted minds. The Mercury class battlestars are considered the current mainstay of the Colonial Fleet. They are dispatched to various roles from safeguarding the mining settlements in the Herculean Asteroid cluster to patroling our borders. The class' namesake, Mercury is undergoing upgrades right now at the Scorpia Shipyards. The Twenty First Battlestar Group currently consists of the Mercury and her assisting ship the Patrolstar Dadelius (Renaming contest to be held for new name). The Dadelius is a fast ship capable of medium range FTL and sports the newest in Colonial Warbirds. Also docked at the shipyard is the Agricultural Corporation of Virgon (AGROCORP) Freighter the Demeter (Renaming contest to be held for new name). The Demeter houses agricultural reserves, research and growing facilities along with administrative procurment offices for the Civillian Defense Forces on the shipyard. ROLES: Freighter Captain, Freighter Engineer, Paramilitary Security Force members; Bartender, Medical Doctor, Bridge Officer. Military: Battlestar CO, XO, Comms Officer, CIC Crew, Doctor, Physician Assistant; Engineering Crew, Deck Crew, LSO, Deputy CAG, Squadron CO & XOs, Pilots; Patrolstar CO, XO, Senior Watch Officer, Flight Surgeon, CIC Crew, Stealth Ops Pilots. The Admiral, suspected of insanity and seeing hallucenations is restricted to quarters after a climactic confrontation with the president on Saturday evening.
The Mercury is disabled and not able to jump after a devestating boarding during which the cylons bombed CIC and destroyed half of the ships ammunition supply. The cylons left mysteriously after the air wing cut off their flow of new centurions and supplies but with near full control of the battlestar. The question is why did the cylons retreat and not finish off the Mercury.

ALL HANDS MEETING - SATURDAY 1/8 AT 4:00PM PSTIn light of recent changes regarding battlestar-themed sims in Second Life, we will be having an all-hands meeting this Saturday, 1/8 at 4:00pm PST to give an overview of our vision and plan for the sim, the general storyline and progress as we move twords a reboot of the Mercury roleplay sim. We are NOT closing, and we plan on continuing with a storyline inspired by the RDM series with some modifications to (hopefully) placate NBC/Universal who own the IP rights to the Battlestar Galactica (r) franchise.
