Welcome to Mercury RP V3.0! Our sim is parody based on the reimaged version of Battlestar Galactica (tm) and exists as a Second Life (tm) virtual simulator.

All of this has NOT happened before... expect some interesting plot twists. We are planning our restart after the turmoil generated in Second Life (tm) relating to NBC/Universal's challenge to the use of Battlestar Galactica (tm) imagery, symbology and descriptives. As such, we are undergoing a rebuild of the sim to meet NBC/Universal's request that such symbology and descriptives be removed. We will be working with renaming and redesigning various aircraft used in the RDM series, working twords unique designs while keeping the feel of the Battlestar Galactica (tm) universe, much as other SciFi fansites make fair use of the look and feel of Star Trek, Star Wars,  Stargate, etc.

Some of the imagery will be different - but the fellowship and roleplay of those who watched Battlestar Galactica (tm) and as fans wished to share in the story will continue with some retooling.
