Battlestar Mercury is a parody of the popular television program Battlestar Galactica. It is the legal equivalent of a fan website, which is fair use of the intellectual property of Universal Studios. We do not profit from or infringe on their copyrights in any way.

We charge nothing for the use of this system which includes a website and a simulator in second life (see http://secondlife.com for details).

We charge a nominal rental fee for cabins inside the second life simulator, because this uses resources which we pay $295/month to use from Linden Labs. We charge a nominal fee for use of our flight systems scripts which we paid appoximately $3,000 to develop.

The simulator is free for all to use so long as they comply with our conduct rules, published elsewhere on this site.
